CTE Guard Claims Process

Claims Administrator: 281-364-8300
  1. Contact the CTE Guard Claims Administrator immediately after a breakdown.
  2. The Claims Representative verifies the active service contract and opens a claim. TecAssured is used for claims administration/reporting and RoadBays for communications with the repair shop and customer.
  3. If the truck is inoperable, the Claims Representative assists with towing to an authorized facility; mobile repair may be appropriate.
  4. The repair facility contacts the Claims Administrator when the truck arrives.
  5. The customer authorizes all diagnostics, including teardown needed to determine the initial failure.
  6. After diagnostics identify the initial failure, the repair facility contacts the Claims Administrator before repair begins.
  7. The Claims Administrator verifies coverage and requests claim documentation.
  8. The repair facility provides fault-code printout, itemized repair estimate, technician notes and pictures of the failed component.
  9. The Claims Administrator reviews the claim and may request additional information such as maintenance records.
  10. The customer and repair facility are notified of the determination. If approved, the facility completes a Repair Completion Certification and post-repair health check showing no active fault codes; payment is then issued.
  11. The final determination is entered into the claims system and the claim is closed.
